The Schieller brand was created by Peter Schieller with the vision to offer consumers a broad selection of artisan razors and cutting edge blades, where “premium” would truly mean exceptional craftsmanship and quality, rather then just "high" price. He wanted to earn consumer loyalty by offering an irresistible value and performance, rather then creating yet another "unique” connector system which forced the consumer to buy blades only from the manufacturer of the razor company - a practice broadly employed by the largest global razor manufacturers.
Over the years Peter Schieller often heard from people about their dissatisfaction with the available brands of razors and blades from leading manufacturers. The available razors were uninspiring, uniform and with similarly generic designs - mass produced in large quantities at low cost. All of this with the objective to sell them to as many consumers as possible.
When these consumers returned to buy new blades for their razor, they discovered that they had no choice - only the blades made by the same company fit their new razor. This business model limited the free choice of blades and was very frustrating. Consumers had to either accept the high price for the blades fitting their new razor or had to purchase another razor in order to be able to use other blades. Even different blades made by the same company did not fit to these razors.
On the other hand, Peter Schiller found a small market segment of razors and blades which the consumers loved - safety razors and blades manufactured by a large range of companies - all using the same connector systems and therefore broadly compatible. People could freely chose a razor that they liked and fit it with blades from any manufacturer. The broad range of razors and blades allowed every consumer to find the combination that worked best for them. This inspiration triggered his ideas for a new brand of razors and blades.
Peter Schiller decided to design a range of Schieller premium razors and blades that are simple, easy and enjoyable to use. All Schieller razors use a universal connector system (UNIDOCK) that allows the consumers to chose from a range of blades at a price that will put a smile back on peoples faces. This connector system is also compatible with some competitive brands - truly delivering on Schiller’s promise of freedom to chose. All this with an objective of delivering a closer, smoother and safer shave to everyone.
